You: Better Sleep!

It was just brought to my attention that it is Sleep Awareness Week. Hypnosis is a natural when it comes to helping people sleep better. The name of the practice itself is derived from Hypnos who was the Greek god of sleep. How it helps is by a) creating a feeling of calm while b) reducing negative expectations regarding the ability to sleep.  Too often the person with insomnia will consciously try hard to make themselves fall asleep and in the process make themselves more awake  due to something called the Law of Reversed Effort. This is where the harder you try to do something you are not confident about, the more you chase it away.  I posted the video above as a  sample of what a hypnosis for sleep improvement session is like.
